Sample wicks
|
Sample wicks transport samples from points of application to sequential test components (e.g., a separate conjugate release pad or reaction membrane where the capture line has been applied). Whatman offers a complete range of high quality sample wick materials.
| Features and Benefits |
| |
- Superior test-to-test reproducibility and reliability
|
| Ensure consistent absorbency and wicking rates |
|
|
| Products are manufactured in controlled environments from the highest quality raw materials |
- Test sensitivity maintained
|
| Low- to moderate-protein binding transports samples to reaction sites with minimal loss of sample analyte |
|
|
| Facilitates easy absorption and wicking of aqueous samples |

Product Range and Properties
CF1
100% cotton linter. Light, thin grade. Suitable for small sample volumes.
CF3
100% cotton linter. Medium weight and thickness. Suitable for larger sample volumes than CF1.
CF4
100% cotton linter with acid treatment to improve wet strength and reduce trace impurity content. Similar weight and thickness to CF3 with faster wicking.
CF6
Glass fibre/cellulose mix. Heavier weight and thickness with high absorbency for larger sample volumes.
