Whatman glass microfibre products can be coated with specific chemicals to adsorb gases. These products are used in continuous gas monitors placed in public buildings and in mass transportation areas such as airports and subway systems. Whatman Grade 41 filter paper is used for swabbing of samples for residual explosives.
